            Ascorbic acid, by our technology, can be stabilized in the formulations that may contain a significant amount of water. Ascorbic acid is insoluble in oil (but, more stable) and         soluble in water (but, unstable). Most anhydrous formulations that contain a large amount of oil-typeingredients do not provide adequate absorption of ascorbic acid into skin. The formulations that contain a small amount of water can provide better skin penetration ofascorbic acid. However, most such water-based formulations do not provide a reasonable stability profile. Our technology offers practical, inexpensive solutions.



Topical Formulation Including Stabilized Water-Soluble and Oil-Soluble Compositions

            A new delivery system that stabilizes large amounts of both water-soluble and oil-soluble ingredients that may otherwise be unstable in the presence of water, for example Vitamin C, hydroquinone, and other such skin beneficial ingredients. This technology is based on certain zeolites of specific pore             sizes. These formulations thus give consumers a signal that the “product is doing  something”, when heat is released upon contact of these formulations with skin. Concurrently, the ingredients that have been “loaded” into the pores of zeolites begin to come out one molecule at a time, as moisture from the skin surface penetrates into zeolite pores, thus also providing a controlled-release of skin beneficial ingredients in addition to heat releasing benefits.

      The efficacy and skin penetration of antioxidants, AHA’s, vitamins, skin whiteners, anti-inflammatory agents, memory enhancers, etc. can be enhanced by the ion-pairing of two functionally related but chemically different ingredients. Thus, an electron donor ingredient and an electron acceptor ingredient, or a proton donor ingredient and a proton acceptor ingredient are combined in an ion-pair mode. These ingredients upon their absorption into skin are released in their original non-ion paired state.

 

 

 17. Hair Care and Nail Care Compositions Based on Ion-Pair Delivery System for Gender and Ethnic Selective Applications.

            Hair and nail care formulations that are tailored for the specific requirements of gender (male, female) and ethnic (Caucasian, Afro, Hispanic, Oriental, etc.) can now be             formulated. This technology is based on a synergistic combination of two different ingredients by Ion-Pair technology. The bioavailability, deposition, performance, and consumer aesthetics are synergistically enhanced. Hair care formulations that include shampoo, conditioner, hair lotion, hair oil, such as nail enamel, nail creams, nail serums, nail lacquers, nail spray, and nail polish, etc. can thus be formulated with synergistically enhanced performance.

            A comprehensive three-step dermabrasion system has been developed, which constitutes the following: (1) Dermal Resurfacing with an adhesive composition, (2)                         Dermal Polishing with a polishing composition, and (3) Dermal Regeneration with a collagen-building and cellular regenerating formulation. Our system provides a complete             system for dermabrasion that can be adapted for the treatment for skin disfigurements such as wrinkles, stretch marks, acne scars, wound scars, and other visually unappealing skin.

 

 

­19.  Antiaging Cosmetic Delivery Systems.

            Most antiaging formulations contain one or two main ingredients that do not provide a comprehensive scientific solution to skin aging. For example, the antiaging formulations             provide benefits to the intra-cellular structure of skin, it reduces the extra-cellular problems associated with skin aging via the following four aspects that are based on the science of             skin biology:

(i)               An extra-cellular antioxidant or free-radical neutralizing component, and

(ii)             An Intra-cellular antioxidant or free-radical neutralizing component, and

(iii)            An anti-inflammatory component, and

(iv)            A collagen or fibrin boosting component.



20. Baby Care Skin Protectant Compositions for Diaper Rash.

            Diaper Rash is an ailment most commonly associated with incontinence in infants and senior adults. 22.  Skin Darkening (Sunless Tanning) Compositions Based on Enhancement of

      Melanin Synthesis by Tyrosinase Promoters

                         Skin darkening (sunless tanning) formulations based on the boosting of body’s own natural melanin synthesis. These unique formulations thus act as accelerators of                             tyrosinase enzyme. In combination with Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), or various colorantsand pigments, these formulations can provide both an immediate tanning and also a more natural-look longer-lasting tanning effect that does not require exposure to UV or sunlight.

           New ingredients based on recently discovered naturally occurring skin whitening agents are now available. These ingredients can be used alone, or in combination with other known skin whitening or antiaging agents. When             used in combination with hydroquinone, for example, these new ingredients can both increase the skin-whitening efficacy of hydroquinone and reduce skin irritation.

 

 

24.­­ Zeolite Based UV Absorbing and Sunscreen Compositions

      New sunscreen ingredients based on zinc zeolite and titanium zeolites are described. These new ingredients are useful for topical sunscreen and skin protection applications that do not whiten the skin, unlike zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. These zeolites can be formulated in combination with well-established sunscreen active agents for their enhanced efficacy.

            Zinc Zeolite is a new, nature-based ingredient for body deodorant and baby product             applications. Deodorant formulations in a solution, powder, gel, spray, stick, roll-on, paste, cream, lotion, aerosol, dentifrice, toothpaste, carpet deodorizer, room deodorizer,             and other commonly marketed human, animal, or household deodorizing products are             possible with this new ingredient.

 

            Baby “bottom” ointment is one of the best areas of application for this new, effective             ingredient!

 

 

26.­­ Matrix Metalloprotease (MMP) Inhibitors and Their Application in Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical Compositions.

            New, nature-based ingredients that help skin and hair rejuvenation and are additionally useful for prevention and/or treatment of ailments associated with inflammation, skin      aging, skin tone discoloration, body odor, rosacea, acne, hair growth modulation, muscular and joint discomfort, and wound healing have been developed. These ingredients provide their benefits via selective inhibition of Matrix Metalloprotease (also known as Matrix Metalloproteinase, MMP) enzymes. MMP is a new emerging area of biochemistry that has now been applied to cosmetic formulations via this innovative technology.

  1. New Ubiquitin-Proteasome Regulating Compounds and Their Application in Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical Formulations.

         New, natural ingredients that stimulate cellular regeneration, control inflammation, and reduceskin aging are patented. These ingredients are biochemically based on certain             ubiquitinylation modulating molecular chaperone compounds found in the body. Skin brightening, antiaging, anti-wrinkle, and anti-inflammatory benefits are provided.

 

  1. Topical Deodorant Compositions Based on Hydroxycitric Acid.

 

 (U.S. Patent Application # 20070031526)

 

            Hydroxycitric acid and its derivatives have now been found to reduce excess oil on skin surface and body malodor via their inhibition of Citrate Lyase enzyme. These are useful             for the development of body deodorant, facial oil control, and acne formulations. 

 

  

 

  1. Stripless Depilatory Compositions.

 

(U.S. Patent Application # 20070031360)

 

            Depilatory formulations that can be applied in liquid form on the surface of the skin, and             which are removable by peeling away from the surface of the skin after setting to a             pliable film. These formulations consist of (i) a pliable film-forming agent, (ii) a hair-            binding             agent, and (iii) a hydroxylic matrix-forming agent. These formulations upon first heating to a             liquid state, then applying to skin transform to a flexible film, which entraps hair without             adhering to skin. This film is removed by peeling away from skin along with the hairs             caught in the flexible film.

 

 

31.   Sebum Control Compositions Based on Saponins and Sapogenins.

 

            (U.S. Patent Application 20070041924)

 

            New, natural ingredients for the control of sebum and oil on skin are now available. The             ingredients are obtained from well-known plants, such as desert Agave, Mexican yam, and       Aloe. Chemically, these ingredients are classified as furostanol saponins and sapogenins,             which are useful for the development of cosmetic formulations to control excess sebum             production, which is associated with dermatological disorders such as excess oil on skin,     acne, dandruff, and body malodor.

 

32.   Water Washable Hair Removal (Depilatory) Compositions.

 

            (U.S. Patent7,527,784)

 

            Non-chemical hair removal (depilatory) formulations that provide complete hair removal             and             easy clean up with water are now offered. These formulations are based on a             mixture of a      water-soluble hair binding agent, a water-soluble cross-linking agent, and a water-soluble             (#33 below is a similar technology that does not require pre-heating.)

 

           

33.   Sugar Esters for Depilation (Hair Removal), Dermabrasion, and Wrinkles Reduction

 

            (U.S. Patent7,592,002)

 

          The natural derivatives from the combination of sucrose (sugar) and gluconolactone             (from sugar fermentation) have adhesive properties useful for the formulation of hair      removal (depilatory), dermabrasion, topical exfoliation, age spot removal, and wart             removal             products. No pre-heating is necessary. Any product residue on skin is easily washed off             with water. The pre-coated depilatory strips can also be manufactured with this formula,             as it does not crystallize like other sugar-based depilatory products.

 

 

34.   Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical Masks for Skin Improvement

 

             (U.S. Patent Application # 20060198805)

 

            An antiaging and anti-acne mask that delivers active ingredients from a two-part mask             that can have two different active agents in the formulations. The first formulation is             applied to skin, and second formulation is applied on top of the first formulation. The first       and second parts of this mask chemically react to form a gel-like continuous mask. This             mask is removed as a single piece, and wrinkles, skin discoloration, and age spots are             removed as the mask is pulled away from skin. This is a very visual product!

 

 

     35. Concurrent Enhancement of Skin Penetration of Organic Base Active Agents and

           Organic Hydroxy Acid Active Agents as Their Ion-Pair Complexes.

            New antiaging agents for skin and hair repair based on the combination of two different             ingredients by Ion-Pair Technology that provide synergistic benefits are described.

            The skin beneficial agents, such as Vitamin B group (Niacinamide, Niacin, Thiamine, and             Pyridoxine), are combined with Ascorbic acid, or Hydroxy Acids (AHA and BHA) or Phytic             acid (skin whitening), or Hydroxycitric acid (facial oil and odor control) to form new INCI             listed cosmetic active agents by this novel Ion-Pair Complex (IPC) skin penetration             technology. The two active agents thus combined by Ion-pair process also penetrate skin             at a faster rate and provide enhanced bioavailability of combined active agents.

 

36.       Controlled-Release of Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical Agents via Osmotic-Controlled Nano-Diffusion from Zeolite Cage Complexes.

            Active ingredients are entrapped in Zeolite cavity to form Zeolite-Cage complexes. These   cage complexes release those ingredients upon contact with water. This water can come              (from perspiration or direct by application). Heat is also released upon such contact             with water, which provides a consumer signal that the formula is “working”. Slow release             of antiaging, anti-wrinkle, skin brightening, sunscreen, anti-inflammatory, vitamins,             hormones, and anti-acne ingredients is provided for their longer acting benefits.

 

37.       Topical Delivery of Trace Metals.

40.       Skin Condition Improvement Including Acne, Rosacea, and Topical Wounds by Artemisia Annua Extract via Iron Siderophore Trojan Horse Delivery System.

            The extracts of Artemisia annua plant, such as Artemisinin, provide improvement of skin             condition including acne, rosacea, age spots, wrinkles, excess facial oil, darkened skin,             and the treatment of topical wounds. These ingredients are chemically classified as             endo-peroxides, which are thus related to benzoyl peroxide but are much less irritating to             skin, and provide efficacy at much lower % levels.
